8 months

As I write this, my child has been crying for over 20 minutes. That's right folks, I'm trying to get Luke to sleep in his crib. He is screaming, choking on his cries, and then resting. After a few deep breaths, he's packed enough power to scream some more. This is truly the one thing I dread at night.

Luke is 8 months old now and so much fun (although not at this moment)! He responds to his name pretty consistently-if he doesn't look at you, he still smiles. He is ALL OVER the place. Forget the typical crawl, he's up on his toes and bear crawlin' everywhere. He's pulling up on anything stable and exploring all the rooms in the house. He loves the dogs and smiles, laughs, and reaches out to touch them whenever he can. He will even crawl to the back door to look for them. We've started saying no-no to certain things--the entertainment center, cords, outlets, etc., and he is responding (usually with a sneaky grin and then pondering what to do). He loves his exersaucer and hates the walker, loves fruits and veggies but not hot on the meat. He want to eat whatever is on your plate but still only has the bottom 2 teeth peeking thru. I love this little guy so much and look forward to each day as we learn new things about each other. God's process of parenting seems hard at times, but I've heard it's worth every minute. I pray that I get LOTS and LOTS of minutes with this little boy!

  2. Yeah! Three handsome loves of my life in my tub! That was a great moment I'll cherish forever...although I hate that I missed Jack stripping down naked and running thru Tippy's pool!
